Kalighat Kali Temple
Kalighat Kali Temple is one of the most visited Hindu pilgrimages of the country, situated at Kalighat near Rasbihari Avenue in Kolkata. It is regarded as one of the 52 Shakti Peethams of India, where various parts of Sati's body are believed to have fallen, in the course of Shiva's Rudra Tandava. It also represents the site where the toes of the right foot of Shakti or Sati fell.

The temple in its present form is 200 years old and is decorated with thin, multicolor layers of painted trim. The idol of Goddess Kali is made up of black stone and decorated with gold and silver. The festivals like Navarathri and Kali Puja are

This colossal Kali temple in Kolkata is situated on the bank of the river Hooghly near Bally Bridge. It was built by Rani Rasmani of north Calcutta in the 19th century. The place is also famous for the fact that, the great spiritual leader Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa attained his spiritual enlightenment here. The main temple is called Navaratna temple which is surrounded by 12 other temples of Lord Shiva.

Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. Spread over several acres of land, it is a pilgrimage for people from different faiths and religions. It is situated at a distance of 6 kms from the Howrah station and located on the bank of the river Hooghly. The Math provides a picturesque view of Ramakrishna temple which was built in the year 1899. People from all over the world come here to receive the message of harmony between the religions of the world, divinity of the soul, renunciation and service.

The main attraction of Belur Math is the temple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansadev which was built by Swami Vivekananda with several other monks. Other worth visiting sites in the campus includes Swami Vivekananda's Room, Swami Brahmananda's Temple, Holy Mother Sarada Devi's Temple, Swami, Vivekananda's Temple, and Ramakrishna Museum.
